Readings & Public Appearances
Since 1995, Peter has appeared at numerous readings and public events across the continent, from Vancouver to New York City. Recent reading festival readings include International Festival of Authors, Word on the Street Toronto, the Winnipeg Thin Air Festival, and the Leacock Festival. He has performed at high schools throughout the B.C. Lower Mainland and post-secondary institutions across Canada. Radio credits include CBC, CKUA, UMFM, and CiTR, where he hosted a literary show from 1995 to 2000. Competitive readings have earned him first place at IFOA's Battle of the Bards and first- and second-place finishes at slams in Vancouver and Ottawa as well as first- and second-place finishes in the UBC Public Speaking Contest. He has served as MC at the Ottawa International Writers Festival and has been a guest performer with the Max Middle Sound Project and jw curry's Messagio Galore.
